History of the ORCi

The Oval Racing Council International was formed in the early 90's, to bring together the members of the then IMP Group and other bodies involved in short oval motor racing throughout Europe.

The ORCi is one of the largest governing bodies for short oval motor racing, covering over 30 venues, 700 race events and somewhere in the region of 10,000 competitors across England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and mainland Europe.

The ORCi consists of all major short oval racing promotions in Europe, with is main responsibilities being for Health and Safety, car construction specifications, driver conduct and marketing and promotion of short oval racing.
